Many of you likely don’t know that at the same time I was publishing the first run of Cultural Chicago, I was operating a small art gallery: Chicago City Arts Gallery.
It’s a tough business but the memories are good. I enjoyed all of the exhibitions. One that was particulary satisfying was the “American Ruralist Movement.” It featured group of outsider/folk artists including my favorite artist who has an admirable business strategy: Dolan Geiman.
